'Neyrat Peyronie
Made In France (R)'
'In 1852 François Neyrat, originally from Corrèze, settled in Autun as an umbrella merchant and manufacturer. By 1875 the company expanded & a steam factory was built on "avenue de la gare" in Autun. In 1886 Léon Neyrat succeeded his father, and the company prospered and became the biggest French player in the umbrella market.
By 1918 the company was now called "LES FILS DE LÉON NEYRAT & Cie". In 1963 Neyrat invented the transparent umbrella. In 2008 the founding family, which has held the reins of Neyrat for six generations, sold the company. Today Neyrat Umbrellas offers a wide range of umbrellas.'
An attractive umbrella perfect for use or a collector.
