This antique walking stick fetures a white metal top with patterned leaf detailing, it is stamped:
'Gallia C (CAT) C'
The C.C cat mark is the makers mark for Charles Christofle. The first Gallia products were proposed at the end of the XIX. century by Manufacture de L'Alfénide (Alfenide Foundry, where Alfenide is simply another brand name for Alpaca or Neusilber), belonging to Christofle since 1888. Gallia is a tin alloy, a milestone in Christofle's history, making for high-quality, hard-wearing items.
Under the top is a brass stag badge reading:
'Hermanns-denkmal'
