This walking stick features a weighted turks head knot top with a cord section continuing down the shaft. This stick would have originally belonged to a bosun.

'The Bosun is a member of the deck department and his duty, among others, is to supervise the deck crew of the vessel. The bosun is also involved in the planning, scheduling and assigning of work to the deck crew on the ship.'

There is a plaited leather collar about a quarter of the way down the shaft.
